Lillian Morrison, the author of many collections of folk rhymes (including the classic Yours Till Niagara Falls), was until her retirement, coordinator of young adult services for the New York Public Library and received the American Library Association's Grolier Award for contributions to stimulating young people's interests in reading in 1987.
